Welcome to Glowist ("we," "our," or "us"). Glowist is a skincare routine tracker application available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Glowist mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using Glowist, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
Our commitment: We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve the Glowist experience. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use the Service. This includes information you provide directly, information generated automatically through your use of the app, and, in some cases, information from third-party sources.

We do not collect sensitive health or medical data, payment information (the app is free), location data, or contacts from your device.
How We Use Your Data

- To personalize your experience: Use your skin profile to tailor content, recommendations, and in-app suggestions.
- To send notifications: Deliver daily AM/PM routine reminders and milestone celebration alerts (only with your permission).

We never sell your data. Your personal information is not a product. Glowist's business model does not involve monetizing user data with advertisers or data brokers.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Active accounts: Your routine data, skin profile, and product shelf are stored for the duration of your account's existence so you can access your history at any time.
- Deleted accounts: When you delete your account through the app, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal compliance purposes.
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, de-identified usage data may be retained indefinitely as it can no longer be linked to you personally.
- Backup systems: Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by contacting us at [email protected].
Security
Protecting your data is a priority for us. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
- Encryption of data at rest in our cloud infrastructure
- Secure authentication options including Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In with OAuth 2.0
- Strict access controls — only authorized personnel can access user data, on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
While we take these steps to safeguard your information, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.

Children's Privacy
Glowist is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these age thresholds.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under the applicable age of consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.
Third-Party Services
Glowist integrates with certain third-party services to provide core functionality. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them:
- Google Sign-In: Used for optional authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign-In: Used for optional authentication on iOS. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google): Used for backend infrastructure, authentication, and crash reporting. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Analytics Provider: We use a privacy-respecting analytics solution to collect anonymized, aggregated app usage data. No personally identifiable information is shared.
Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features. When we make material changes, we will:
